How can I help you shoot more probono dog portraits?

We try to dedicate at least 1 day a week for the probono shooting of foster and rescue dogs in hope of helping them find forever homes. We would love to shoot more rescue dogs and expand our reach to help more rescue groups and foster organizations. But being an independent photo studio can make it a struggle to make ends meet at times. Honestly, the number one thing holding us back from photographing more rescue animals are those pesky […]

Will I receive digital copies of my photos?

All Puptrait Studio clients receive web-ready watermark free digital files of their session proofs and we encourage clients to download and share their favorite images from their pet portrait session on social media. Tag the Puptrait Studio on Facebook & Instagram As we don’t watermark proofs (We think watermarks are ugly and distracting. Why are your prints so expensive?

We get this question a lot from new pet portrait clients. There are a few reasons that our photo prints might be a bit more expensive than you might expect. Puptrait prices are actually priced surprisingly competitively Amazingly enough, our prints actually aren’t that expensive compared to what other comparable photographers in the area are charging for prints. While we would never suggest our prints are cheap or something that all dog owners can afford, we were surprised to see […]

We will photograph puppies that have yet to complete their scheduled vaccinations. But we can not work with or have adult dogs that have not received their core vaccinations visit our dog friendly […]

Will you photograph unvaccinated puppies?

We do photograph puppies that have yet to receive their full series of vaccinations. Please let us know if your dog has not completed their second round of DHPP vaccinations (vaccines for distemper, adenovirus [hepatitis], parainfluenza, and parvovirus) so that we can have an opportunity to thoroughly sterilize our studio work space immediately prior to your pet’s visit to the Puptrait Studio. Will you photograph adult dogs who have not received their core vaccines? We strongly recommend that all dog […]

As a general rule of thumb, dog photoshoots held at the Puptrait Studio in Baltimore have the lowest minimum print commitments and deposit requirements. But it is worth noting, that our studio does not charge travel fees to photograph pets on locations within our standard service. However, we do tend to require larger minimum print commitments and deposit requirements for on location and in-home […]

Are dog portrait session deposits refundable?

All deposits made to the Puptrait Studio are non refundable. However, deposits for pet portraits may be applied to rescheduled sessions if the shoot is rescheduled prior to the session appointment. Our studio tries to be as flexible as possible when it comes to rescheduling sessions and accommodating special requests from clients, but out of respect for our other clients we need to maintain a fairly rigid schedule the day of scheduled appointment times. As it is the only way […]

What is the rescheduling fee for pet portraits?

Clients may reschedule up to two times with 48 hours notice without incurring a rescheduling fee. We realize that things pop up and that these days it can be difficult to know what your schedule will look like weeks and months a head of a time. But out of respect for the time of our other clients and our professional pet photographers, we must maintain some assurances that clients will show up when agreed. How to reschedule a pet portrait […]
