Will you photograph unvaccinated puppies?

We do photograph puppies that have yet to receive their full series of vaccinations. Please let us know if your dog has not completed their second round of DHPP vaccinations (vaccines for distemper, adenovirus [hepatitis], parainfluenza, and parvovirus) so that we can have an opportunity to thoroughly sterilize our studio work space immediately prior to your pet’s visit to the Puptrait Studio.

Will you photograph adult dogs who have not received their core vaccines?

We strongly recommend that all dog owners vaccinate their dogs as soon as their veterinarian deems medically safe. For the safety of your dog and our other canine visitors, we will not work with any adult dogs that have yet to receive their core vaccines such as Rabies, Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, and Canine Adenovirus. We also not work with any dog suspected or known to be carrying parasites of any kind. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but safety is always our foremost concern.

Will you photograph adult dogs who have not been spayed or neutered?

We will photograph unaltered animals and have photographed a number of award winning show dogs. That said, we ask that you please let us know if your dog has been bred or given birth to a litter in the last year, or if your dog has been bred or littered ever on your property, as either instance may introduce additional aggression or behavioral risks when handling dogs that have not been spayed or neutered.
